Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership to the local team while collaborating closely with technical leads from partner teams and cloud leadership.
- Identify opportunities to enhance service health, manageability, and reliability through end-to-end telemetry, alerting, self-healing, and automation capabilities.
- Develop database management systems to automate routine tasks and create a streamlined self-service interface for database developers.
- Oversee database security automation and uphold data safety and integrity protocols.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and implement solutions to improve system reliability and availability.
- Collaborate with a team responsible for managing and supporting critical production databases hosted in GCP or AWS.
- Engage with users and communicate on a highly technical level with engineering teams to enhance services.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in developing tools, automation/scripting, programming (C++, C#, or similar), and enhancing components related to services/products for software delivery and management in production.
- 5+ years of experience in troubleshooting and debugging across network, hardware, and distributed service layers, with proven skills in debugging, fixing, and optimizing code.
- 5+ years of experience supporting PostgreSQL or substantial expertise with other OLTP databases.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with effective communication skills.
