Job Title: MLRO/Compliance Manager

About the Company: We are searching for an MLRO/Compliance Manager for our esteemed client, a prominent fintech company specializing in structured products. This role is based in Guernsey, focusing on local regulations and extending oversight to the UK, all while reporting to the company's headquarters.
Role Summary: The MLRO/Compliance Manager will be pivotal in ensuring strict adherence to Guernsey's financial regulations and preventing financial crime. This role will provide oversight of compliance functions in Guernsey and the UK, with a primary emphasis on structured products.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure alignment with Guernsey's financial regulations, including the Proceeds of Crime Law and GFSC guidance. Interpret and apply regulations to structured products.
AML and CTF Oversight: Develop and maintain robust AML and CTF policies and procedures. Monitor customer due diligence and transaction monitoring processes. Investigate and report suspicious activities.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance and financial crime risks. Collaborate with other departments on risk mitigation strategies.
Training and Awareness: Provide compliance and AML training to employees and cultivate a culture of compliance within the organization.
Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit compliance and AML reports to headquarters. Stay informed about regulatory changes and their potential impact.
Audits and Investigations: Coordinate audits and lead investigations related to compliance and AML. Take appropriate actions in case of breaches or violations.
Policy Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures, and practices. Maintain an up-to-date compliance manual.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or law. Relevant professional certification preferred.
- 3+ years of compliance or AML experience in the financial services sector, with a focus on structured products.
- Strong knowledge of Guernsey and UK financial regulations.
- Expertise in AML, CTF, and compliance program management.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
