An international energy business is expanding their Contracts team to support their growing business in LNG, Gas, Power and Utilities. You will be the key person overseeing, reviewing and managing the contracts to minimise risks and maximise the value to the business.
You will:
- Review LNG, Piped Gas, Power and Utilities Contracts with attention to detail covering legal / commercial risks and discovering optimisation opportunities with the intent of improving the company's P&L.
- Negotiate contract terms with counterparties together with sales and procurement leads.
- Study the legalities of contracts and support the project teams in the analysis, evaluation and negotiation of terms and conditions with external parties
- Key liaison party between the business and external parties to ensure timely review and approval of any variations in contracts.
- Track all important details of contracts, including key deliverables/ milestones, deadlines, cancellation requirements and etc.
- Provide timely, independent and commercial pragmatic advice to internal stakeholders while managing legal and commercial risks.
- Understand the overall contract portfolio to identify trends and implement process improvements.
The ideal candidate
- Strong contract management experience in the energy, gas and power space
- Degree in Law, Finance, Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of related experience
