A leading international firm and trusted advisor to industry leaders is in search of an M&A Associate Attorney (AmLaw100) to join their legal team in Chicago. The team represents buyers and sellers in the mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other major transactions on a global level.
Responsibilities:
- Forming funds, evaluating proposed acquisitions, and structuring investments
- Drafting acquisition, credit, equity and mezzanine agreements
Prior experience representing portfolio companies
- Taking companies public and advising on securities law and fiduciary duty issues
- Advise business-people, lead transactions from inception through closing
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of private equity or mergers and acquisitions transactions experience, AmLaw100
- Excellent academic credentials
- In good standing of a state bar
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
