A leading blue-chip asset manager is hiring a Middle East Sales Director to build out their coverage here, with a particular interest in the larger regions such as Saudi Arabia.
The asset manager has generated incredible success through a variety of products across long-only equities, hedge funds, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, and private equities. They have an incredible track record and have grown year on year since inception to the point where they are a market leader.
The role will focus exclusively on sales and relationship management, with dedicated sales support, client services, and marketing to support your new business development and relationship management.
For this exciting position, the firm will only consider candidates with institutional, wholesale or retail networks in the Middle East. The successful candidate will currently be at Vice President or Director level in a blue-chip organization performing a similar role.
The position will work closely with one other employee at the same level of seniority who also covers the middle east. Together you will strategize and map the market to increase the firm's coverage with the large investors in this space.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive asset growth in the middle east from a new investor base, including but not limited to institutional, wholesale and retail investors.
- Identify prospective investors, arrange meetings, manage the sales process and oversee onboarding.
- Continue to provide excellent relationship management to new and existing clients in the Middle East regions.
- Have an excellent understanding of the firm's products to deliver highly technical pitches to the full-range of investors.
- Work closely with the sales support and marketing teams to utilize excellent materials and other resources deemed necessary.
- Travel to the Middle East regions to meet existing and prospective investors.
Candidate Requirements
- The ideal candidate roughly has between 5-12 years (or relevant) experience.
- Experience working at a blue-chip asset or wealth manager.
- Proven experience in a sales role, raising capital from the Middle East investor base, with extensive knowledge of this region and a strategic plan to raise capital here.
- Strong understanding of a multitude of asset classes, and an ability to explain complicated terminology.
- Desire to be involved with the big allocators in this region.
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
- MBA / CFA preferred.
