A globally recognized and well led investment management firm is actively seeking a Senior Desktop Engineer to work alongside the Service Desk and Desktop Engineering teams with hardware, software, and other services to deliver technology infrastructure services to their esteemed community. The Boston based firm needs a passionate technologist with the ability to make a measurable impact on a team responsible for project work, L2/L3 issues, and requests for 500+ users worldwide. The Desktop Engineer will be responsible for:
- Owning escalated L2/3 tickets and requests as well as setting clear and realistic expectations with customers to contribute to a culture of operational excellence
- Providing advice and training for users as it relates to incidents and requests
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of existing services and processes
- Participate and contribute to SDLC and Change Management best practices
- Develop expertise on a variety of systems and platforms; perform administration, maintenance, and upgrades
The Desktop Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Excellent team player with a proven track record of helping others on their team
- Work effectively with others in a hybrid work environment
- Proven expertise in at least three of the following:
- Citrix, Active Directory, Azure, Windows Desktop, Networking, SCCM, WebEx or Teams, Exchange/Outlook, PowerShell
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills; able to work autonomously and provide proactive communication and daily updates to customers
- Understanding of technology and keeping up to date with the latest industry developments and best practices
- Strong analytical skills
