Position: Senior Enterprise Risk Manager
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Join our client, an innovative financial services provider. In this role, you will report to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management and collaborate with other risk managers and functions. You will ensure effective risk management practices, focusing on Risk Governance within the ERM team, including frameworks, policies, local governance, and committees and lead ERM transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Risk Committees: Prepare charters, agendas, facilitate meetings, and document decisions for committees like the Enterprise Risk Committee.
- Oversight and Guidance: Ensure committees fulfill their mandates, monitor and escalate risks, and ensure EU regulatory compliance.
- Framework and Policy Development: Maintain and develop the Risk Management Framework and policies, ensuring alignment with group standards.
- Policy Assurance: Guide policy document owners and assure senior management of compliance and quality.
- Regulatory Reporting: Lead preparation of Internal Control Reports and regulatory disclosures.
- Horizon Scanning: Conduct studies on new regulations and audit observations, collaborating with regulatory and audit departments.
- Risk Culture and Awareness: Contribute to defining enterprise risk culture and promoting risk awareness.
- Project and Change Management: Support ERM projects and provide training on risk management topics.
- Collaboration: Work with risk and compliance teams and represent the organization at governance forums.
- ERM Calendar Management: Maintain the ERM calendar and roadmap in coordination with group agendas.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 8 years in financial services, preferably in risk management or audit.
- Education: Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management (e.g., FRM, COSO).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with financial sector regulations and guidelines.
- Risk Management Expertise: Understanding of risk management frameworks for financial and non-financial risks.
- Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex risk assessments to non-technical stakeholders.
- Additional Experience: Leasing activities or mobility industry risk analysis is a plus.
- Regulatory Interaction: Experience with regulators and regulatory disclosures is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Language Skills: Fluency in English; French is a plus.
