Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for on-the-job training, coaching of new hires and the development of Fund Administration Analysts within the group.
- Suggests and actively engages in executing changes and improvements within the department
- Coordinate audit process and follow up on audit issues.
- Evaluate calculations for fund distribution
- Respond to client requests in a timely and professional manner
- Aid Accounting Manager in resolving intricate issues and undertake additional projects when needed
- Examine tax information at both fund and potential shareholder levels, as well as review calculations for fund distributions
Skills and Requirements:
- Knowledge of tax issues, SEC regulations, financial reporting
- Excellent analytical skills, communication skills, and organizational skills
- Proficient knowledge of mutual fund accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mutual fund or finance industry
- Degree in a business field (preferably accounting or finance related).
- Proficiency in excel, word, outlook, and other standard desktop applications
- Knowledge of RIC reporting requirements, financial reporting experiences and any alternative product knowledge is a plus.
- Candidates with process management/improvement experience is preferred.
