Operations Associate | Hong Kong
Our multi-strategy Hedge Fund client is seeking an Operations Associate to work closely with Traders, Accounting, and other Operations team members. The role involves ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of operations/middle office trade support experience.
Responsibilities:
Reconciliation:
- Reconcile holdings and profit & loss between the proprietary risk system, portfolio management system, and fund administrator.
- Review and resolve daily position and cash reconciliations provided by middle office providers and administrators.
Reporting:
- Daily pricing of portfolios and generation of P&L reports (daily, weekly, and monthly).
- Facilitate trade settlement with counterparties through daily trade confirmation and break resolution.
- Ensure post-execution trade flow from the Order Management System (OMS) to internal systems and external prime brokers.
- Monitor corporate actions, coordinate with administrators/middle office providers, and book in the OMS when necessary.
Requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or relevant disciplines.
- General knowledge of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, options, swaps, futures, foreign exchange) within multiple Asian markets.
- Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, Eze Castle, and Enfusion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
