Vice President of Capital Formation Overview:
A lower middle market Private Equity firm is seeking a Vice President of Capital Formation. The Vice President of Capital Formation will support fundraising efforts, and be a key player in managing investor relations, and contributing to the continued success of the firm.
Vice President of Capital Formation Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute innovative fundraising strategies to attract new investors and retain existing ones.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with investors through effective communication and transparency.
- Collaborate with the investment team to conduct due diligence on potential investors and partners.
- Create compelling marketing materials and presentations to showcase our investment thesis and performance.
- Actively engage in networking events and industry conferences to raise our firm's profile.
Vice President of Capital Formation Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the investment management industry
- A proven track record of capital raising in the private market investment strategies is preferred
- Familiarity with fund structures including private capital drawdown funds, separately managed accounts, and business development companies.
- Demonstrable sales support experience including strong telemarketing skills, managing external sales schedules and coordinating product road show
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship management skills
- Client-facing mentality and presents thoughts with confidence and credibility
- Collaborative working style and strong interpersonal skills
- Data analytics capabilities and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint & Salesforce
