Overview:
A leading agency broker in London is seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual for the role of Senior Rates Execution Trader. This role involves executing interest rate products, including government bonds, swaps, and other related instruments, for a diverse client base. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of fixed income markets, strong execution skills, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade Execution: Executes trades in interest rate products, including government bonds, interest rate swaps, and other related instruments, ensuring best execution practices and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Market Analysis: Monitors fixed income market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to make informed trading decisions and provide market insights to clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Builds and maintains strong relationships with institutional clients, understanding their trading needs and providing timely and effective execution services.
- Risk Management: Manages trading risks effectively by adhering to the firm's risk management policies and procedures, ensuring all trading activities are conducted within the firm's risk limits.
- Strategy Development: Develops and implements trading strategies that align with market conditions and client needs, contributing to the firm's overall trading performance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Works closely with other teams, including research, sales, and compliance, to ensure seamless execution of trades and comprehensive client service.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensures all trading activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Reporting: Prepares regular reports on trading activities, market conditions, and client interactions for senior management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in rates trading, with a strong track record in executing interest rate products.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of fixed income markets and interest rate products.
